In La C\u00f4te-de-Gasp\u00e9<\/strong>, an exhibit by M\u00e9lissa Pilon (Qu\u00e9bec) will be presented at Forillon National Park. Christophe Goussard and Charles-Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rick Ouellet (France\/Qu\u00e9bec) will exhibit their work at L\u2019Anse-au-Griffon. Finally, the city of Gasp\u00e9 will be hosting Dissonances<\/em>, which comprises a stage in the Iran: Visual Poetries <\/em>circuit, made possible thanks to a collaboration with Silk Road Gallery in Teheran. Curated by Claudia Polledri, this four-stage circuit (Gasp\u00e9, Perc\u00e9, Bonaventure and Carleton-sur-Mer) will display the work of 17\u00a0Iranian artists: Mehran Mohajer, Mehrdad Naraghi, Dadbeh Bassir, Arash Fayez, Hosein Davoodi, Ghazaleh Hedayat, Rana Javadi, Bahman Jalali, Mehdi Vosoughnia, Ghazaleh Rezaei, Jalal Sepehr, the duo Ali Nadjian and Ramyar Manouchehrzadeh, Shadi Ghadirian, Mehrdad Afsari, Babak Kazemi and Yahya Dehghanpour. Additionally, four Iranian films will be screened in collaboration with independent movie venues in a few towns and municipalities in August and September. One of the screenings scheduled is at the Birthplace of Canada historical site in Gasp\u00e9 on September 7.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the Rocher-Perc\u00e9 RCM<\/strong>, Rachel Echenberg will exhibit her work at the \u00cele-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Perc\u00e9 National Park. Committing<\/em>, a stage in the Iran: Visual Poetries <\/em>circuit, will be presented in Perc\u00e9, and an exhibit by Hua Jin (Qu\u00e9bec) in Chandler.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the Bonaventure RCM<\/strong>, meanwhile, Natacha Clitandre (Qu\u00e9bec) will exhibit in Pasp\u00e9biac and Anne-Marie Proulx (Qu\u00e9bec) in New\u00a0Richmond. A reminder that the exhibitions of these two artists are the result of participatory projects carried out in the spring of 2019 and 2018 respectively in the Gasp\u00e9. Also, the work of Carlo Rainone (Italy) will be on display in Pasp\u00e9biac in partnership with the Photolux festival, while Bonaventure will play host to Crossing time<\/em>: between present and past<\/em>, which constitutes another stage in the Iran: Visual Poetries <\/em>circuit.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Lastly, in the Avignon RCM<\/strong>, the exhibition of Renata Poljak (Croatia) will take place in Maria thanks to a collaboration with Occurrence, espace d\u2019art et d\u2019essai contemporains; those of Michel Campeau, Bertrand Carri\u00e8re and Serge Cl\u00e9ment (Qu\u00e9bec) in Carleton-sur-Mer; that of Skawennati (Qu\u00e9bec) at Miguasha National Park; and that of Sophie Z\u00e9non (France) in Matapedia in partnership with Diaphane, p\u00f4le photographique en Picardie. In addition, Carleton-sur-Mer will be welcoming Traversing Teheran and its images<\/em>, which again constitutes a stage in the Iran: Visual Poetries <\/em>circuit, as well as the exhibit The Photographic Book<\/em>, curated by Serge Allaire. A workshop on the photobook will be offered by Gytis Skudzinskas (Lithuania) in August, courtesy of a partnership with the Kaunas festival and the artist center L\u2019imprimerie.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jacynthe Carrier (Qu\u00e9bec) will be creating a participatory work in August in the countryside of Bonaventure, evoking the Gasp\u00e9 region and its inhabitants. It will be presented during the 11th edition of Rencontres, in 2020.<\/p>\n Thanks to a partnership with Loto-Qu\u00e9bec, Rencontres, in collaboration with the Centre d\u2019exposition de Val-David, is relaunching the Photography Missions project in the Qu\u00e9bec region initiated in the Gasp\u00e9 in 2016. Further to the call for projects that went out this past April, the artist chosen for the \u201cLaurentians 2019-2020\u201d mission will be announced in mid-June.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The public will be invited to take part in various activities of Rencontres on tour, which will run from August 15 to 18, 2019, in different places stretching from Matapedia to L’Anse-au-Griffon in the presence of several participating artists. On the program, among other things: guided exhibit tours, outdoor screenings, exhibition openings, a workshop and a roundtable.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On the French side, the partnership of Rencontres with Diaphane, p\u00f4le photographique en Picardie has been renewed for two years. New agreements have also been concluded with the city of Nantes and the Nantes organization Les PUI \u2013 Pratiques et Usages de l\u2019Image for holding public events in both Montreal and Nantes.
